Monaghan Ladies
Well done to Monaghan Ladies on their great win on Friday night last. The ladies are ably guided this year by former senior team manager, Ciaran Murphy and his cohort of local selectors. It was definitely edge of the seat viewing for the supporters who had to watch from the comfort of their sitting rooms. Good luck to all in their next encounter on the road to Croker.
Sympathy
This week a Country Music Legend passed away to his eternal reward. Brian Coll, from Omagh, Co. Tyrone, was a well known performer on the country music scene since 1968. He and his band had a loyal following through out the country. However, Brian and his musicians, were also great supporters of the Seans Annual Sports days during the mid-seventies. He would come to the event, watch the races, enjoy the craic and then give a performance to the crowd. Locals have remarked on his kind and genuine personality which endeared him to all. The club would like to offer their sincere sympathies to Brian’s family on his recent passing.
