Club Championship
It looks like we are going to get plenty of bang for our buck in the coming weeks. The County Championship draw has thrown together the prospect of some crowd salivating encounters. Non more so than our opening game , at home on the weekend of the 26th of July, against near neighbours and rivals Aghabog. In the following weeks there will be showdowns with Oram, Rockcorry, and Kileevan. The top 4 qualify for the quarter finals to face the qualifiers from the other side of the draw in reverse order. Surely this will wet the appetite for even the most conservative follower of the Junior Championship and reignite the passion and joy that we have been missing out on since mid-March. Good luck to the Management and Team in their quest for silverware and hopefully our fans and patrons will be back in force to lend them their support in this new look championship.
Totto
During this closed period, the funds for the club are being stretched to the limit. Our weekly totto is a sustainable source of income, but only if supported by the members and wider community. The setting up of the ‘totto on-line’ is to help widen our circle of participants. If you are a past player, member or even just an occasional follower of the club we would encourage you to support our weekly totto draw. This weeks jackpot was €5100, and we had no correct predictions of the number sequence. The numbers drawn were : 8,1,2,5,7,6,3,4.. Games & Training
Week one and we are back with business as almost usual. The new normal of sanitizing, recording and checking has taken over. However amidst the rules and regulations we are back in business. All teams and coaches are battling for their space on the training field in preparation for the beginning of games. Good luck to all teams as competitions and fixtures are released.
Club App
It is essential that all players and juvenile parents download the club app and be included in their respective groupings. This app will be required for all events, such as, training, games and general notifications. All members should download Club Zap free from the app store or google play store. They then select the club to follow, where there will be regular updates and news items to keep in touch with what is happening. Please also go to the club website at www.seanmcdermotts.net for all items relating to the club. Please note that it is envisaged that the regular form of communication with players and parents will be discontinued in coming weeks.
