Senior Men League An away tie with Killeevan was round five of the Junior League on Saturday evening. Once again hopes were high of breaking our duck of zero wins from four outings and they were well founded in the first half as our game was positive and scores were taken. With three goals scored in this period, we had a three point lead at the break. However, yet again, compliancy set in, and indiscipline beyond the two point arc gave the home team numerous chances to convert and they duly did. In only scoring five points in the second period, we left it an uphill challenge and Killeevan ran out winners by two. This was a hammer blow given the progress that promised so much and failed to deliver. Junior football is a tough station and it becomes uncompromising and unforgiving if you don’t capitalise on your chances and make the scores count. We now have a break for a week to review all, before we entertain Blackhill at home in round six.

Well done to our Lads and Dads & Mother and Others who hosted a hugely successful blitz last weekend. It was a great event with many teams travelling distances to take part. Plenty of excitement and loads of craic. A big thanks to our S&C coach, Barry from Baywatch who warmed everybody up to get it started.
