Scór nan Óg
It was quite a night in Clontirbret last Saturday for the Scór county finals. We had entries in a number of categories, and we thank all those young performers who took part on the night representing the Club. However, we had huge success as our Solo Singer, Novelty Act and Ballad Group took first place in each group. They will now progress to the Ulster semi finals. But that wasn’t all, we were also crowned Club of the Year 2024. This a wonderful honour and so richly deserved. The work put in by our Cultural Officer, Collette McNelis, has been massive over the last couple of years. Add in her excellent backroom team of Monica Treanor, Jennifer Beagan and Frank Evans and she has established a very strong cultural element to the club. We wish them all the best in the next stage and hopefully more success.

Cumann na mBunscol
Well done to St Mary’s N.S., Threemilehouse who won the Cumannna mBunscol roinn 3 football final on Saturday last. This was an epic game with Scoil Mhuire from Clontibret which was only settled by a single point. Well done to the lads and their coaches as it’s always great to have success with the local schools.
