Bingo at Seans

It was another Bank Holiday bonanza as we gave away over €6000 in prizes on Monday night. Congratulations to the two lucky players that scooped a €1000 jackpot each on pages 6 and 8.

The main jackpot was not won and now moves on to €10600 and all other jackpot pages remain the same and we continue to guarantee at least one of the €1000 jackpots will be paid out on the night.

Make sure you get in early and get your books. If you have any queries, please message us on Facebook, email, etc, and we will assist in every way possible.

Mens Reserve League

Our Reserve League kicked off with an opening game against The Faughs on St. Patricks morning in Castleblayney. Once again, as with the ladies team, we had a great mix of youth and experience in the starting line up. This was a cracking encounter from the off with early points exchanged as players settled into their roles. Nobody settled quicker than Rory Lyden, as the front and center target man , on the edge of the square. The tried and tested route one format, paid off on numerous occasions in the first half and we were only a point behind at the break. The second half was once again very nip and tuck until the Faughs edged in front but cometh the hour cometh the man and Rory answered the call as he rattled the net to restore parity. The story would have a further twist as the home side rallied once more and pushed themselves in front by two. Yet again, the experience and youth combined to engineer a goal right at the end with Daithi Brennan blasting into the net. A one point winning margin and much to talk about. That’s fixture one complete, but we have a way to go, and hopefully we can maintain the habit.

U14’S League

Our U14 squad got their league campaign started on Saturday in Aghabog. The rain was heavy, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of either side, with both teams giving their all from the first to the final minute of the game. Our lads left themselves with too much to do in the second half, getting it back to 2 points in the final stages of the game but just couldn’t find that all needed goal to win the game. Lots of positives to take from the game and things to work on before the next game in 10 days time.

Super Quiz Night

Senior Players Table Quiz will take place in the Complex on Fri. 22nd of March. It’s €40 per table of 4 contestants and the first question is off at 8.30pm. If you think you’re smart enough, then we need you there. With cash prizes and a raffle on the night, this is always fierce craic as the academics take on the uniformed thinking they can win. Your support is most welcome.
